Rose in Bloom: An Abstract Genesis
“Rose in Bloom” takes the rose as its departure point, radically inverting the conventional perception of the flower as a symbol of “external beauty.” Instead, it directs our gaze toward the internal efflorescence of feminine consciousness. The work eschews the depiction of a concrete bloom, utilizing abstract light and form to construct an organic fluidity of spirit and emotion.
The superimposed layers of petals symbolize the multi-layered structure of consciousness, simultaneously alluding to the entanglement and release of thought. They function as the folds of the subconscious, where strength is cultivated from a soft process of introspection. This blossoming, which radiates from within, is an act of self-genesis—a ritual of conscious awakening.
The flux of light and shadow represents the dynamic interplay between time and the self.
